Step 1: Is CBD right for me?

Let's start with what CBD actually is:

There are natural components within Cannabis plants called phytocannabinoids. There are over 100 different cannabinoids that have been discovered in Cannabis – CBD (short for Cannabidiol) is just one of them. CBD is the most abundant cannabinoid found in hemp plants, and is specifically and commonly known for its vast spectrum of healing benefits.

Cannabinoids communicate and interact with receptors in our body’s Endocannabinoid System (ECS). Our ECS plays a role in regulating most body functions, such as sleep, mood, appetite, pain, and more.

Our body already produces components called endocannabinoids, and has trillions of receptors throughout it that interact with them! The phytocannabinoids found within Cannabis plants can communicate with these same receptors.

All of the products that we advocate for are hemp-derived, not marijuana-derived.

there's a difference between hemp and marijuana:

We like to think of hemp as weed's sober cousin:

Marijuana has high levels of THC (short for tetrahydrocannabinol), which is the cannabinoid responsible for the intoxicating effect commonly associated with Cannabis. It also has lower levels of CBD. In short, this means that when ingested, it has some healing benefits, but it will also intoxicate the user. Many people who ingest marijuana with these high levels of THC are left unable to function properly for work, daily activities, and driving.

Hemp, on the other hand, has very low levels of THC, and very high levels of CBD. Our products are all hemp-derived, which means you're getting all the healing, without the high.

The 2018 Farm Bill that was passed made hemp-derived CBD products,  containing 0.3% THC or less, federally legal. With that being said, the FDA doesn't regulate CBD products, and everyone seems to be making them, which is why it's crucial to know what's in the product you're getting. We’ll talk more about quality during Step 3.
